After an illustrious 11 year career, Aussie rockers Jet have decided to take off in separate directions.
Nic and Chris Cester, Cameron Muncey and Mark Wilson issued a joint statement announcing the split.
"After many successful years of writing, recording and touring we wish to announce our discontinuation as a group. From the many pubs, theatres, stadiums and festivals all across the world it was the fans that made our amazing story possible and we wish to thank them all. Thank you, and goodnight."
The band will be best remembered for their hits Are You Gonna Be My Girl?, Cold Hard Bitch and Rollover DJ, selling over 6.5 million records, and writing a new chapter of Australian rock history in the 2000s.

Beliebers are eagerly awaiting the release of Justin Bieber's new single Boyfriend, with the singer releasing teasers over the weekend; the latest being a 47 second clip.

After being plagued with some vocal cord problems last year, John Mayer has released the lead single called Shadow Days from his upcoming album Born and Raised on his official website.
Mayer says he started writing the latest batch of songs on October 14th 2010, only 5 days before stories about Taylor Swift's song Dear John emerged - in which she slams him for taking advantage of her!

It's been a while since we've heard any new Bieber tunes, but it appears that we might not have to wait too long.
The Far East Movement (the guys who brought you Like A G6 amongst others) have collaborated with Justin Bieber for the track Live My Life.
"FM (Fear East Movement) has always focused on unexpected collaborations and mashing up musical genres which keeps making music exciting. Live My Life is a song we think both FM and Bieber fans will enjoy together," says Kev Nish from the band.
