This just in: Selena Gomez is going to be hosting the MTV Europe Music Awards! To celebrate, MTV have released a promo video which sees Selena congratulating herself for the honour.
At first we see the normal polished, prim and proper we're used to, until she's joined by her alter ego, a street-wise chola who raps back at her quick-fire Nicki Minaj style.
Dressed in baggy jeans, a large plaid shirt showing off a bit of bra, sneakers, giant gold hoop earrings and a bandanna, it's definitely a different look than her usual boring old goody two-shoes act.

A far cry from her latest film role in Gimme Shelter where Vanessa Hudgens plays a pregnant, street dwelling teen, the starlet took a leaf out of the book of old Hollywood glam in this silver gown for the MTV VMA’s after party.

Remember Punk’d? It was that MTV show Aston Kutcher created where he went around pranking celebrities and filming them with hidden cameras, mostly to see if they reacted like totally stuck up wankers (which fortunately a lot of them did) and throw away lines like “Don’t you know who I am?”.

Adam Levine from Maroon 5 is not a fan of MTV. The singer has caused controversy after tweeting about the TV channel negatively on the eve of their annual Video Music Awards.
"The VMAs [are the] one day a year when MTV pretends to still care about music," he tweeted Saturday. "I'm drawing a line in the sand. F--k you, VMAs."

Just when you thought awards ceremonies were beginning to just be a chance for Jersey Shore kids to stain the red carpet with their recent spray tans, an announcement like this happens – Beyoncé is set to perform at this year’s MTV VMA’s!
And does that girl ever throw down a bad show? (That was a rhetorical question). She is also nominated for 3 awards this year this year, including “Best Female Video,” “Best Choreography” and “Best Cinematography”.
Beyoncé also just tweeted from her own account that she is premiering a new video for “1+1”,

The trailer for the fourth season of Jersey Shore has been released, featuring all their Italian (mis)adventures.
It also proves that although you can take the Guido out of Jersey, you can never take the Jersey out of the Guido.
We won't give away too much, but Snooki probably needs a crash course in household objects or something.
