William Balfour has been found guilty of murdering three members of singer Jennifer Hudson's family in 2008.
Balfour had dated Jennifer's sister Julia Hudson and flew into a rage after thinking she had received a gift from a new boyfriend. He has been convicted of murdering Jennifer Hudson's mum Darnell Donerson, brother Jason Hudson and nephew Julian King. The murder has been described as an act of vengeance.

As well as first degree murder he was also convicted of home invasion and residential burglary.
Jennifer Hudson attended every day of testimony and was the first witness called to the stand. She rose to fame in 2004 on American Idol and won an Oscar for Dreamgirls in 2007.
Such a tragic situation.

We here at The Dirt are so proud to inform you that we have finally reached the end of the Linsday Lohan legal battles!
This seemingly endless round of court hearings for Lilo's DUI and Necklace incidents finally reached the last chapter when Lindsay was let off her probation!
Judge Sautner had some wise words for Lindsay and even managed to even sneak in a few jokes.
"You've paid all your fees, paid more than you should've, but that's between you and [the probation department]," Sautner told Lohan, adding jokingly, "I wouldn't go asking for a refund."
"The only terms left for you on that case are to obey all laws. It's not that hard. I know it's kind of hard when people are following you around all the time, but that's the life you chose," she said.
Well we are glad this is the last court hearing we will (hopefully) see Lindsay in for a while.

For once, Lindsay Lohan hasn't been running wild, and has actually been receiving positive feedback from her judge in her ongoing legal woes and probation. So to celebrate, naturally she hit up a few swanky parties. Oh, Lindsay...
Linds attended the Domingo Zapata's Oscar Art Show last night, before heading to the Chateau Marmont for some other shindig. Ironically, the hotel has been the scene for some of her more dramatic breakdowns.
I guess you could say Lindsay looked “good” compared to some of the states we've seen her in, but she clearly has about 8 tonnes of make-up on, very fake hair extensions, has had some weird stuff done to her face and a strange bloated look going on. We do, however, approve of the black fur coat and knee length leather boots.
Lindsay is FINALLY almost finished with her probation and is now just on “informal, non-reporting probation,”according to the judge yesterday. “Just obey all laws, stay out of trouble and move on with your life.
Easier said than done!

Yikes. It's been a good week for Lilo. She has landed the role of Elizabeth Taylor in the biopic of her life, aced her probation hearing and has left the nipple show at home, wearing a demure and court appropriate dress to court! Snapples, Mizz Lohan, you did good!
She was all smiles listening to Judge Stephanie Sautner give her verdict on Lindsay's progress.
"Miss Lohan, you're in the home stretch.
"Your probation officer is pleased with your progress, you seem to be getting your life back on track and that's what we'd all hoped for."
Before her next appearance, March 29, she has 14 days of community service and 5 more therapy sessions.
As entertaining as the highs and lows of her life are we congratulate Lindsay on getting her shiz under control.
We do, however, look forward to her next wardrobe fail. We know there will be one.
