Katy Perry's ex-boyfriend has been supporting her through her divorce from Russell Brand.

Katy and Travis McCoy from the Gym Class Heroes dated for 2 years until early 2009. Katy even features in one of the Gym Class Heroes videos, 'Cupid's Chokehold'.

Travis explained to UK paper The Daily Mirror that he's supporting Katy through this tough time.

“There will always be a connection between us, I'll always be there for her. When you've been in a relationship like ours, you will always make time for that person. Katy was there for me through my hard times when things were really bad.

“Life goes on, I have regrets about the way things ended but there are no grudges anymore. I'll always be there for her, she knows that... Do I think she got married to Russell too fast? When you're feeling it, you're feeling it. You can't help how you feel.”
